Description:
At the entrance to Mount Painter Nature Reserve, in the suburb of Cook in Canberra.   This is a white concrete vertical sundial, the top is shaped, with 12 hour divisions and a gnomon mounted on the vertical face.

History: 
Erected by local residents in 1970, to mark the bi-centenary of Cook’s exploration of Australia.
