Cairn to Cook at Alexandra Headland, Queensland, Australia

Description:
At Alexandra Parade, Alexandra Headland, 4572.
The cairn is a rough stone on which the plaque is mounted.   
A small children’s playground is nearby.

History:
The cairn was erected on 17th May 1970 by the Mooloolaba Alexandra Headland Progress Association,  to commemorate the voyage of Captain James Cook, sailing past the headland in May 1770.
