Six 54p stamps were issued to celebrate seafaring and exploration.
There was also a £1.30 miniature sheet.
One of the stamps depicts “HMS Endeavour”.
Each of the stamps were issued as a sheet of six.
At the bottom of each sheetlet there is some information about the ship depicted.

Six stamps were issued to commemorate seafaring and exploration.
The 50c value shows one of the three portraits of Captain James Cook by John Webber.
This, almost full-length version shows him in captain’s uniform leaning against a rock in front of the sea, holding a telescope in his left hand and his hat in his right. The painting is held in Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa.

To celebrate the International Year of Astronomy and the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing five stamps were issued.
The 75c value shows the space shuttle Endeavour on top of its Boeing Transporter in 2008.
