When I visited the Vache in March 2021, it was a mizzly day so I took very few photos.1 Returning in May, I took my flying camera (DJI Mavic Mini), which enabled me to take both still images and video shots of the memorial to Captain Cook in Chalfont-St-Giles.
Some of the images are shown here. A short aerial video of the monument can be viewed on YouTube.2
The path to the memorial was still closed, and the gate locked with a chain. However, it seemed to deter only legitimate visitors—at the memorial I found a lot of beer cans, soft-drink bottles, cigarette packets, crisp wrappers, and even empty disposable lighters. I took away as much rubbish as I could carry.
